I recently began going to Midtown Dental at the end of this year. Havent seen a thorough dentist ever. Upon going here I was shocked to see that just to get a cleaning I needed to come in for xrays one day, see the dentist the next and then move on to my hygiene apt. Which I thought was totally outrageous and time consuming. Upon seeing the dentist, he saw that I was a severe grinder and needed a NightGaurd asap. Which I already knew. He explained to me what my grinding and clenching was doing to my teeth and it scared the hell out of me. I would fracture teeth, probably need root canals and more...I used to wake up with a sore jaw and neck pains but now I feel great! I started with there hygiene program about a month ago and my gums feel better already! Less bleeding and pain when I'm flossing. I'm really happy with the service I got. The receptionists explained to me thoroughly what was and wasn't covered by my insurance and at this point, my insurance still covered everything. At first I felt like they were just trying to sell me everything but realized my last dentist didn't care about the future of my teeth but only did the necessary actions to keep me coming back. This office is a very proactive place and as am I. Im really glad to get on top of things and want to keep my teeth forever, which I now know is possible. The staff seem very busy and I don't get to see the dentist everytime but I feel confident in knowing Dr. Ramlaggan will do whats best for my teeth.
